The invention relates to floor drain traps which are used widely to isolate the drainage, without obstructing the outflow of liquids. The safe floor drain trap, according to the invention, comprises a proper collecting tank of the liquids to be drained (3). At the lower part of the sidewall of the collecting tank and lower than the inflow openings (2), an outflow pipe is adapted to take the liquids to the drainage system (5). The outflow pipe (5) is of appropriate size and shape so that adequate quantity of liquid is withheld in the collecting tank (3) and in the outflow pipe itself (5), so that the flow of air and the passage of animalcules and insects from the drainage to the drain trap is fully blocked. The advantage of the invention is that the new drain trap is of low cost and size, handy and fully blocks the entrance of smells, animalcules and insects from the drainage.
