METHOD OF MANUFACTURING HYDROTALCITE

The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing hydrotalcite with an even particle size, which comprises the steps of preparing a mixture of a soluble metal salt, a basic compound and a dispersant; adding a primary metal hydroxide, a secondary metal hydroxide and an interlayer anion feed material to the mixture for dispersion mixing; and aging the mixture for 20 minutes ~ 5 hours at 150 ~ 250°C, at a pressure of 5 ~ 30 kgf/cm?. According to the method of manufacturing hydrotalcite of the present invention, the prepared hydrotalcite has an authentic board-type crystal structure and excellent thermal decomposition characteristics, so that it gives thermal stability to a resin. In particular, this method has overcome the problem of the conventional method, wherein hydrotalcite particles prepared by the conventional method cogulate together and thereby they are not suitable for some polymer resins. However, the hydrotalcite prepared by the method of the present invention has even particle size, indicating that workability and dispersibility have been improved, and the qualities as a high molecular material have also been enhanced.
