<p>A method for regenerating a crosslinked polyethylene is provided to prevent environmental pollution by regenerating a crosslinked polyethylene used for excel pipes or electric wire coating without incineration, and to reduce the cost. A method for regenerating a crosslinked polyethylene comprises the steps of: collecting waste products of excel pipes or electric wire coating materials formed of a crosslinked polyethylene; classifying the waste products depending on the kinds and sizes; crushing the waste products into a particle size of 2-3 mm; introducing the crushed product into a lower mold of a mold having the lower mold and an upper mold, coupling the upper and lower molds, introducing the mold into a preheating press including an upper hot plate and a lower hot plate, and preheating the mold at 250-270 deg.C and a pressure of 10-20 kg/cm^2 for about 10 minutes; conveying the preheated mold to a molding press; carrying out press molding of the mold in a molding press including an upper molding plate and a lower molding plate under a high pressure of 150 kg/cm^2 or higher for 15-20 minutes to provide a molded product, and spraying cooling water to the exterior of the mold through a cooling water ejection port until the external temperature of the mold reaches about 100 deg.C; and removing the cooled product from the mold, followed by post treatment and quality test.</p> |
