In order to clamp a puncture area of a blood vessel opening, in particular of an arterial opening of an individual, into which opening an occlusion device body (1) is inserted which contains suture needles and suture threads connected to the latter and whose suture needles and suture threads, at the outer edge of a constriction area (4), can be guided through a vessel wall located in said area and, after reception in the distal end area of the occlusion device body (1), can be pulled together with the latter out of the blood vessel opening, the occlusion device body (1) comprises, in the area transverse to said constriction area (4), a clamping means (8; 8') with at least one slide element (8; 8') which, along the outside of the occlusion device body (1), and only in the longitudinal direction of the device, can be longitudinally displaced from an area outside the blood vessel opening into an area comprising at least the vessel wall of the relevant blood vessel, and by means of this displacement clamps the vessel wall in such a way that the latter draws together near said constriction area (4). |
