The device has a control unit for controlling hardware resources (8, 11) shared between functions such as display and updating functions, where the resources have an embarked module and a cable modem type module. A prevention unit prevents resetting of each resource by one of the functions other than the function having the control of the resource at a given instant. The prevention unit has multiplexers (12, 13) to multiplex resetting signals and to transmit a resetting control to a resetting input of an electronic device. Registers (9, 10) have a bit to receive a multiplexer control signal.
