PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellular telephone capable of reducing influence of electromagnetic waves by keeping a distance from user's head during calling by employing a configuration in which an antenna, a transmission/reception unit and a battery are kept away from a human body as much as possible and the telephone can be folded and developed using a switch. SOLUTION: A unit 1 has a hinge portion used to couple the unit 1 and unit 2, another rotary hinge portion is provided on the unit 2 to couple the unit 2 with a unit 3, and the antenna, the receiving unit and the battery are built in its lowermost part. The units 1 and 2 are developed manually, a telephone number is inputted, and then, the unit 3 having the built-in antenna is automatically developed with the button so that a troublesome operation such as antenna extension can be more easily executed. The entire unit 3 is developed and made to be away far to prevent bad influence to a human body. Since complete development of the telephone naturally forms a ventilating portion on the unit 2, the user is free from perspiration, and since a heat-generating portion such as a battery is kept away from a palm, low-temperature burn can be prevented.
