PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce costs even when a high speed interface is adopted. SOLUTION: A disk array controller 1, a disk device 2, and a host 3 are connected with one interface 31, communication between the disk array controller 1 and the host 3 and communication between the disk array controller 1 and the disk device 2 are performed via one host interface 31. Thus, cost reduction is achieved even with the high speed interface such as a fibre channel. Especially, further cost reduction is performed by sharing an I/F control means 12 of the disk array controller 1 for the host and for the disk device. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
