PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structurally simple cylinder lock which can prevent water etc. from entering a plug and staying in it, particularly, a tumbler sliding portion. SOLUTION: The cylinder lock is formed by turnably inserting the plug 3 housing a tumbler 2 operated by an unlocking key 1 into a cylinder case 4. A plate mounting groove 6 having a portion 5 opened in the lateral direction of the plug 3 is formed in front of the leading tumbler 2 of the plug 3. A plate body 8 having a key inserting opening 7 allowing insertion of the unlocking key 1 and communicating with the opened portion 5 of the plate mounting groove 6 is mounted in the plate mounting groove 6.
