PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner wherein a check valve is not clamped between a collar and a seal part when mounting a dust collecting bag. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner includes: a cleaner body 1 provided with a motor-driven blower 4 and a dust collecting chamber 5; a suction inlet 6 communicating with the dust collecting chamber 5; a dust collecting bag 9 freely detachably mounted on the dust collecting chamber 5 from above; a collar 11 attached to the peripheral edge of the suction port 10 of the dust collecting bag 9; a dust collecting lid 14 for covering the dust collecting chamber 5; the check valve 13 which is provided with a seal part 13b to be closely attached to the collar 11 and prevents the leakage of the dust; and a connection pipe 7 connected to the suction inlet 6. The check valve 13 is divided into several parts, and the length of the divided valve 13d on the lower side is made shorter than the length of the valve 13d on the upper side.
