<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compactly arrange a light projection unit and a photometric unit around an image inversion member. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging device includes a focal member 128 on which an object image is formed by light from an image pickup optical system 105; the image inversion member 127 for inverting the object image formed on the focal member; the light-projecting units 132a, 132b for projecting display light on a display part provided to the side of the focal member via the image inversion member; and an eyepiece optical system 126 for guiding the light emitted from an exit surface 127a of the image inversion member to the eye.
