PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oscillation circuit with low consumption current. SOLUTION: The oscillation circuit is provided with an inverter circuit formed on a single-crystal semiconductor layer laminated on an insulator and composed of at least a set of an n-type transistor and a p-type transistor, a gate terminal capacitance whose one end is connected to an input end of the inverter circuit while whose the other end is grounded, a drain terminal capacitance whose one end is connected to an output end of the inverter circuit while whose the other end is grounded, and a feedback resistor and a resonator that are connected in parallel between the input end and the output end of the inverter circuit. A capacitance value of the drain terminal capacitance is made smaller than that of the gate terminal capacitance. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
