<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus configured so that a paper discharge section whose temperature becomes high cannot be touched except when the necessity arises to process a jam, etc. <P>SOLUTION: The paper discharge section into which a recording medium heated and fixed by a fixing section is discharged is provided with a freely turnable paper discharge cover covering the paper discharge section and a flag turned by the recording medium conveyed in the paper discharge section.
