<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a license plate information system retrieving a specific vehicle running on a toll road by storing the information of the license plate image of a vehicle to be photographed at an entrance and a toll gate of a toll road and retrieving and collating the information of the license plate image, and to provide a license plate information utilization method. <P>SOLUTION: The license plate information system is provided with: a license plate image pickup unit for exit and a license plate image pickup unit for entrance for photographing the license plate of a vehicle; an exit monitoring device; an information processor; and an entrance monitoring device. The information processor is provided with an exit information database for storing an exit license plate image; an entrance information database for storing an entrance license plate image; and an arithmetic unit for retrieving the exit license plate image and the entrance license plate image, and for collating the numbers of the license plate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
