PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair backrest, which has no occurrence of disengagement between the components. SOLUTION: In a chair backrest, which has a joint plate 21 which has a two-stem joint 20 fixing a backrest part 30 connected with the backrest part, resilient elements 22, 23 which are made of resilient material and support the two-stem joint at a basic position and a storing chamber 24 which is connected with the backrest support 10 and stores the resilient elements 22, 23, the joint plate 21 is structured so that it can turn around the two stems in the chamber between the two elements 22, 23 which are made of resilient material, support the two-stem joint at a basic position and are supported in the storing chamber 24.
