PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal starting a DSP without requiring a logic IC, and having a simple structure. SOLUTION: In this portable terminal, a contact fitting 10 is rotated with rotation of a dial, and contact brushes 12A-12C slide on a circuit board. Mode selection electrodes 22A-22F are arranged on a circumference on which the contact brush 12B slides. An earthed electrode 21 is arranged on a circumference on which the contact brush 12A slides. The mode selection electrodes 22A-22F are arranged outside the earthed electrode 21. Pulse electrodes 23A and 23B are arranged adjacently to a position, on the circumference on which the contact brushes 12B and 12C slide, at which the contact brush 12C is arranged in turning off the power of the terminal.
