PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display simply own position on a map by electronizing a simplified map. SOLUTION: This navigation system 1 is equipped with a measuring part 130 for acquiring latitude longitude information, and a display part 140 for displaying a map constituted of a plurality of areas having each latitude longitude information of a plurality of reference points. The display part 140 displays an own position mark on the nearest reference point to a latitude longitude acquired by the measuring part 130 among the reference points on the map, and displays information on an area including a point corresponding to the latitude longitude acquired by the measuring part among a plurality of areas on the map 10 in Fig.3.
