摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce problems of display such as image retention and tailing occurring upon displaying a moving picture. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal device 1 has pixel electrodes 9a1, 9a2 adjoining each other along an X-direction and a conductive film 92 formed in a region extending between the pixel electrodes. The conductive film 92 is formed like islands to overlap in the region extending between the pixel electrodes 9a1, 9a2 and electrically connected to a data line 6a through a contact hole 91. A potential of an image signal supplied to the data line 6a is supplied to the conductive film 92 upon driving the liquid crystal device 1. The contact hole 91 is electrically connected to a portion of the data line 6a in an external circuit side with respect to the pixel electrodes 9a1, 9a2. The potential of the conductive film 92 electrically connected to the conductive film 92 is kept at the potential of the image signal regardless to the switching operation of a pixel switching TFT 30 formed in each pixel.
