PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk test device highly accurately positioning a disk. SOLUTION: Apparatus for attaching a disk to a spindle 4 of a spinstand 1 includes a spindle 4 having a fluid pressure port therethrough for delivery of fluid pressure. A spindle adapter is adapted to be attached to the spindle and for holding a disk. The spindle adapter has a piston movable therein to clamp a disk between the piston and an opposing surface in accordance with fluid pressure applied through the spindle fluid pressure port of the spindle 4. A disk can be attached to the spindle 4 by applying fluid pressure to the fluid pressure port of the spindle. Then the disk can be spun up on the spindle 4. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
