PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant polylactic acid resin composition having excellent heat-resistance. SOLUTION: The flame-retardant polylactic acid resin composition is produced by melting and kneading a mixture containing a polylactic acid resin as a main component and further containing 3-30 mass% pentavalent phosphorus compounds wherein the ratio of total carbon atom in the aromatic ring to the molecular weight is≥60%, 0.01-5 mass% (meth)acrylic acid ester compounds and≥0.001 mass% peroxides. As an alternative, the flame-retardant polylactic acid resin composition contains a polylactic acid resin as a main component, and further contains 3-30 mass% pentavalent phosphorus compound wherein the ratio of total carbon atom in the aromatic ring to the molecular weight is≥60%, 0.1-5 mass% organic crystal nucleation agent and 1-10 mass% plasticizer composed of an aliphatic ester derivative and/or an aliphatic polyether derivative.
