PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container for a cosmetic which keeps resilience undeteriorated for many hours, moreover, and working efficiency good, makes the cost go down, further, saves the number of parts, and facilitates management such as stock management. SOLUTION: The container for the cosmetic has a receptacle main body 1 which has a medium-sized dish holding recess 1a on the surface, a lid body 2 which covers this receptacle main body 1 with a lid, and a medium-sized dish 4 which holds a solid cosmetic 5, and makes an elastic layer 11 made of an ultraviolet curing type adhesive, which is hardened by ultraviolet irradiation, overlying the bottom 7 of the medium-sized dish holding recess 1a of the receptacle main body 1, wherein the medium-sized dish 4 is put on this elastic layer 11.
