<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon-containing refractory having excellent slag resistance as well as excellent thermal shock resistance by a means where uniform dispersion is relatively simply made possible when carbon nanofibers are dispersed into a refractory for reducing carbon in a carbon-containing refractory. <P>SOLUTION: Using, as raw materials, a catalyst-covered refractory raw material in which the surface of a refractory raw material is coated with one or more kinds of metals selected from the group consisting of V, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Mo, Pd, Rh, W and Pt, the oxide or metal salt of the metal(s), and an organic polymer resin or the precursor thereof, they are kneaded, molded and heat-treated, so as to be a nanocarbon-containing refractory in which nanocarbon tubes are uniformly dispersed into the structure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
