<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assess the inclination of sheets relative to a conveying direction generated during conveyance. <P>SOLUTION: An inclination assessment method of a medium includes the step of forming a first pattern on the medium by a head when the medium is held by rollers upstream of the head, a step form forming a second pattern on the medium by the head when the medium is not held by the rollers, and the step of assessing the inclination of the medium relative to the conveying direction generated during conveying the medium from the inclination of the second pattern relative to the first pattern. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
