<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably purify exhaust gas without deteriorating fuel economy in an exhaust emission control device of a diesel engine. <P>SOLUTION: This exhaust emission control device comprises a main particulate capture filter installed in the main exhaust line of the diesel engine, a sub exhaust line branched from the exhaust line at a branch point on the upstream side of the main particulate capture filter, a sub particulate capture filter installed in the sub exhaust line and having a soot storage capacity smaller than the soot storage capacity of the main particulate capture filter, a low pressure part installed in the sub exhaust line on the downstream side of the sub particulate capture filter and providing a pressure lower than the pressure at the branched part, and a differential pressure measuring part for measuring the pressure difference produced between the inlet and the outlet of the auxiliary particulate capture filter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
