PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a start control device for a vehicle for achieving accurate start control even when vehicle weight is not detected. SOLUTION: A vehicle weight detection means detects vehicle weight according to vehicle acceleration and road gradient, and fuel supply quantity to a gear stage and an engine at the start of a vehicle is determined according to the detected vehicle weight. When the vehicle weight is not detected by the vehicle weight detection means, the fuel supply quantity at the start of the vehicle is set to the fuel supply quantity for the minimum vehicle weight, and when the road gradient detected by a road gradient detection means exceeds a threshold, the gear step at the start of a vehicle is set to the lowest stage.
