PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a retriever to retrieve contents imaged in his/her mind. SOLUTION: A human-perceivable content retrieving method comprises an acquisition step of acquiring a query brain image indicating the active state of the retriever's brain when perceiving or imagining contents to be retrieved, a specifying step of specifying the contents corresponding to the query brain image using a structure which associates the contents with a brain image showing the active state of the brain when perceiving the contents, and an output step of outputting contents corresponding to the query brain image. The query brain image is thus used for the retriever to extract the corresponding contents only by imagining without pointing the contents such as a specific drawing, that is, retrieval is facilitated.
