PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately join the starting part of a succeeding tape to the trailing part of the present tape with the use of a joint part by accurately positioning the starting part of the succeeding tape with respect to the trailing part of the present tape and also suppressing the warp of the starting part of the succeeding tape. SOLUTION: A tape joining device 10 joins the present ACF tape 1a to the succeeding ACF tape 1b. The tape joining device 10 includes: a cramp part 11 for gripping the present ACF tape 1a; and a cutter 12 for cutting the desired position of the present ACF tape 1a. A joint assisting mechanism 60 for superimposing the starting part of the succeeding ACF tape 1b onto the trailing part of the present ACF tape 1a and positioning the width direction position of the starting part of the succeeding ACF tape 1b with respect to the width direction position of the trailing part of the present ACF tape 1a is arranged at the upstream side of the cramp part. The joint part 16 for joining by pressurizing the starting part of the succeeding ACF tape 1b onto the trailing part of the present ACF tape 1a is arranged in the neighborhood of the joint assisting mechanism 60.
