<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing apparatus of glass articles smoothly producing a glass plate with reduced defects which is to be mounted in flat displays or the like, a manufacturing process of glass articles using the apparatus and a new heat resistant metal reinforcement tube mounted in the glass manufacturing apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The heat resistant metal reinforcement tube 10 is nearly slantingly or vertically arranged and a tube made of a heat resistant metal inside of which glass melt flows. Roughly flange-shaped reinforcement members 20 are installed on outer circumference 11 of the tube within an interval of specified value L(=kD<SP>0.75</SP>×T<SP>0.25</SP>) determined by tube diameter D and tube thickness T. The manufacturing apparatus of glass articles has the heat resistant metal reinforcement tube 10. The manufacturing process of glass articles comprises continuously introducing glass melt to a molding unit through the heat resistant metal reinforcement tube 10 and molding the glass melt into glass articles by the molding unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
