PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure air-conditioning performance as an entire air conditioner while preventing a refrigerant from making a passing sound when switching air-conditioning and heating operation. SOLUTION: When switching each indoor heat exchanger 41 from air-conditioning to heating, a controller 50 puts a first control valve 31 in a slightly open state after closing a second control valve 32, and also puts the first control valve 31 in the fully open state after a use-side heat exchanger 41 is equalized in pressure to high pressure gas piping 11. When switching from heating to air-conditioning, the controller 50 puts the second control valve 32 in a slightly open state after closing the first control valve 31, and puts the second control valve 32 in the fully open state after the use-side heat exchanger 41 is equalized in pressure to low pressure gas piping 12.
