PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat-treating device for a sheet-like article which is less susceptible of the influence of an accompanied air current. SOLUTION: This heat-treating device 1 thermally treats the sheet-like article 7 fed continuously, in a plurality of heat-treating chambers, and has a temperature control device which controls the temperature of air. The heat-treating chamber has a train of jetting nozzles 2 which extend in the width direction of the sheet-like article and jet the air at a temperature controlled by the temperature control device to the sheet-like article from above and below. In addition, the center position, in the sheet-like article feeding direction, of the jetting nozzle train 2, is arranged to the upstream side of the sheet-like article feeding direction rather than to the center position of the sheet-like article feeding direction of the heat-treating chamber.
