<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a latch apparatus which can reduce an operating physical force required for an opening operation of an operating handle, by effectively utilizing a driving current supplied to a driving source of a locking mechanism, while reducing manufacturing costs and miniaturizing the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: This latch apparatus 10 comprises a latch mechanism 20 which holds a side door 2 in the semi-closed and fully closed state with respect to a vehicle body 1, and an open lever 30 which makes a door opening motion by the opening operation of the operating handle, so as to release the semi-closed and fully closed states maintained by the latch mechanism 20. The latch apparatus also comprises a release assisting unit 50 which is driven by making the opening operation of the operating handle act as a trigger, so as to assist the release of the semi-closed and fully closed states, and an electric storage device 60 which partially stores the driving current supplied to the driving source of the locking mechanism and which drives the unit 50 by supplying the driving current stored in the unit 50. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
