PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rack installing method with which a rack having housed equipment mounted thereon can be easily installed on a rack installing position and easily fixed. SOLUTION: A caster 2 is attached on the bottom surface of the rack 1, and caster bracket 3 is buried in a free access panel 4 of an installing position of the rack 1, the caster bracket 3 consisting of a guiding slope 3a from the surface of the free access panel 4 to the inside and a caster surrounding portion 3b attached on the end of the guiding slope 3a. The caster 2 attached on the bottom surface of the rack 1 is moved to the caster surrounding portion 3b via the guiding slope 3a of the caster bracket 3 in a state where the caster bracket 3 is buried in the free access panel 4, and thus, the rack 1 is installed to the rack installing position and fixed.
