PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart various communication means to pet animals and owners without requiring wide places and without depending on weather. SOLUTION: In a communication system with pet animals. an input/output device 16 for pet animals capable of carrying out optional motions such as sound, image, luminescence and movement and enabling input of movement information such as behavior of pet animal and selection of owner (user) is connected to a control means loaded on a game machine for home. As a result, the input/output device 16 for pet animals can easily be controlled according to a control program previously prepared in the game machine. Since motion by input/output device 16 can be changed according to movement of pet animal input from the input/output device 16 for pets, the system readily enables pet animal such as cat or dog to play with owner or to take exercise without making owner (user) tired or making the pet animal tired or without depending on places and weather.
