PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorization building material composition obtained by imparting antibacterial and antifungal performance to ALC (Autoclaved Light-weight Concrete) essentially consisting of tobermorite as a crystalline calcium silicate hydrate. SOLUTION: The deodorization building material essentially consisting of tobermorite comprises a metal salt of a metal(s) selected from silver, copper and zinc of 0.001 to 5 wt.% and one or more kinds of compounds selected from halogenated aromatics and halogenated alkaloids of 0.005 to 3 wt.%, and also, the effective specific surface area measured by a nitrogen gas adsorption method is 15 to 50 m2/g.
