<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of continuing a backflow state in determining time by calculation processing and driving time of an EGR control valve, in addition to response delay time of a detector, when the EGR gas flowing direction changes to a backflow from a downflow, for performing valve closing control of an EGR valve, after sensing the backflow of EGR gas, in a conventional technology. <P>SOLUTION: The EGR control valve comprises the EGR control valve arranged in an exhaust gas recirculating passage for circulating exhaust gas of an internal combustion engine to an intake passage from an exhaust passage, a measuring means for measuring a flow rate of the EGR gas flowing in the exhaust gas recirculating passage, and a control means for closing the EGR control valve, when the flow rate of the EGR gas is smaller than a predetermined threshold value, in a state of flowing to the intake side from the exhaust side of the internal combustion engine on the EGR gas flowing direction, by receiving input from the measuring means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
