<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently confirm the latest status (context) of a plurality of documents. <P>SOLUTION: A document, attribute information of the document, information of context including version management information and related document information are associated with each other by taking a document ID as a key, and registered in a document database (S10). On receiving user's folder operation, a work area for handling the document belonging to the folder is set (S12), and a document list belonging to the object folder is created and acquired (S14). On the basis of the document list, the context related to the respective documents belonging to the folder is acquired to create a list of contexts (S16). The created list of contexts is displayed, and detailed information can be referred in response to user's select operation (S18).
