PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start an engine by transmitting a rotational driving force from an electric generator in the start of the engine, to allow power generation by transmitting engine torque to an electric generator after the start and power generation, and to suppress fluctuation in tension of a transmission belt and suppress generation of slip of the belt to elongate duration life, in an electric generator with one-way clutch. SOLUTION: A revolution fixing means 300 temporally fixing and locking a non-coupling operation of the one-way clutch 200 is provided. In the start of the engine 49, the revolution fixing means fixes and locks the non-coupling operation of the one-way clutch to transmit a rotational driving force of the electric generator 1 and start the engine. After the start, the fixing and locking of the non-coupling operation of the one-way clutch by the revolution fixing means is released. When engine speed is increased, the one-way clutch is switched to a coupling operation to transmit the rotational driving force to the electric generator. When the engine speed is decreased, the one-way clutch is switched to be in the non-coupling state to shut off the transmission of rotary inertia torque to the engine. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
