PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power line carrier communication device capable of suppressing a common mode current and also suppressing unnecessary radiation from a conductor line more than conventional technique. SOLUTION: A primary winding n11 of a transformer T1, provided to a coupling circuit 5, on the side of a commercial power source side is provided with a plurality of taps TP1 to TPn, and a changeover switch SW is provided which selectively switches a tap to be connected to an earth terminal 15 of the commercial power source among the plurality of taps TP1 to TPn. The changeover switch SW is configured to be operated by a user of the power line carrier communication device 1, and the user operates the changeover switch SW while confirming display contents of a display unit 9 so that the level of the common mode current becomes minimum, thereby setting the tap to be connected to the earth terminal 15.
