PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constant velocity universal joint capable of preventing damage to a roller, a leg shaft, and a drum-like roller, and capable of being easily assembled. SOLUTION: In the constant velocity universal joint, the leg shaft 7 can be freely inserted and removed to and from the annular roller 3 without deforming the annular roller 3, the leg shaft 7 and the drum-like roller 4 between an assembly start position where an inscribed circle diameter d1 of separating ends 4a of the drum-like rollers 4 when the drum-like rollers 4 are arranged on an insertion side Z of an inside diameter projecting round surface 11 of the annular roller 3 is equal to or more than an outside diameter dimension D of a spherical surface part 9 of the leg shaft 7 and an assembly completion position where the leg shaft 7 is inserted in the inside of the drum-like rollers 4 and an axial center position X of the drum-like roller 4 is moved to a minimum inside diameter position Y of the annular roller 3, and a retaining member 13 for preventing the leg shaft 7 from coming off from the annular roller 3 is provided on an end edge of the annular roller 3 on the insertion side Z.
