PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector or the like capable of reducing a processing load when switching an image output device. SOLUTION: The projector 100 comprises: an input/output part 120 capable of inputting image information from a plurality of kinds of image outputting apparatus; a judgement part 130 of judging whether the projector becomes a first input source switching circumstance or not as a circumstance of inputting image information from a DVD player 300 different from a PC 200 which outputs the image information; and a control part 140 which, when the projector becomes a first input source switching circumstance, outputs interruption control information for interrupting the output of the image information or stop control information for stopping the output of the image information to the input/output part 120 toward a PC 200.
