PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inter-board trouble detection circuit which is capable of detecting inter-board troubles without decreasing the transmission speed of signals that are transmitted from one to the other board. SOLUTION: The inter-board trouble detection circuit of this invention is an inter-board trouble detection circuit which detects a trouble between an interface board 1 and a main signal processing board 2. A first FCS error detection unit 10 is provided to the interface board 1, receives signals 6 where an FCS code is added, and detects whether errors are contained in the signals 6. The signals 6 are outputted from the interface board 1 to a signal transmission path provided between the boards. A second FCS error detection unit 12 is provided to the main signal processing board 2, receives the signals 6 outputted from the interface board 1 through the signal transmission path, and detects whether errors are contained in the signals 6. A first decision unit 14 compares the detection result of the first FCS error detection unit 10 with that of the second FCS error detection unit 12, and decides that a trouble exists between the boards when the two detection results are not coincident with each other.
