PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an operation failure of a control unit and prevent the same control from being repeated even when a plurality of input units receiving external signals are provided. SOLUTION: A home theater system 2 includes a DVD player 3, an infrared photodetector 4, a monitor 5, a speaker 6, and a remote controller 7. A control board 20 provided with a CPU 21 and an IC 22 for control is built in a housing 11. A player photodetection sensor 23 is provided on the front of the housing 11. The infrared photodetector 4 is provided with a unit photodetection sensor 25. A connection cable 26 with a connection plug 27 is connected to the infrared photodetector 4. A connection jack 28 is provided on the back of the housing 11. When a detecting circuit 35 detects the connection plug 27 being inserted into the connection jack 28, the IC 22 for control outputs only an infrared signal input from the infrared photodetector 4 to the CPU 21.
