PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform high-speed planting in coarse planting specifications and to improve planting precision while preventing pulsation of a seedling planting tool by solving a conventional problem in which the seedling planting tool pulsates as the speed of seedling transplanter increases in 37 stocks and 42 stocks as the coarse planting specifications. SOLUTION: In the seedling transplanter, a traveling vehicle body is provided with an elevatable seedling planting portion equipped with the seedling planting tool for planting seedlings in a field. The seedling transplanter is equipped with a speed change means for changing the traveling speed of the traveling vehicle body, an intrarow spacing change means (A) for changing the operation period of the seedling planting tool relatively to a traveling speed, an irregular speed drive means (B) for irregularly operating the seedling planting means in its operation period and a control means (C) for controlling an irregular speed operation by the irregular speed drive means according to the speed change by the speed change means.
