<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase an average flying distance by enlarging the high-restitution area of a face part. <P>SOLUTION: A wood type golf club head of a hollow structure is provided with a face part 3 for hitting a ball and a hollow part inside. In a standard state that a head 1 is placed on a horizontal surface HP at a regular lie angleαand a loft angle, when nine areas on the rear side of a face 2 are virtually divided by vertical faces V1 and V2 and horizontal faces H1 and H2 which divide a maximal length W in a toe-heel direction on the rear side of the face part 3 and a maximal length H in a vertical direction on the rear side of the face part 3 into three equal parts, the average thickness of each area is correlated with one another. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
