PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic system in which a navigation function is available not only inside a car but also outside the car, and an electronic apparatus in the electronic system. SOLUTION: A digital broadcast receiver 1 comprises a fixed unit 2 and a portable unit 3 that can be attached to and detached from the fixed unit 2. The fixed unit 2 includes a radio IF 15 for receiving a command from the portable unit 3, a first CPU 14 for controlling the fixed unit 2 in response to a command given from the radio IF 15, and an operation display section 18 for displaying volume or the like thereon. The portable unit 3 comprises a display operating section 35, a second IF 30 for transmitting to the fixed unit 2 a command inputted from the display operating section 35, and a second CPU 32 for displaying on the display operating section 35 information based on map information and location information.
