<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire useful information on the pharmacological effect of nicotine, the role of nAChR, dementia relating to nicotine addiction and nicotine deficiency, etc., by expressing a DNA containing a sequence for regulating a β<SB>2</SB>-subunit of nAChR and a sequence encoding the subunit and to provide a DNA, etc., effective for screening a compound recovering or controlling the activity and action relating to the nAChR. <P>SOLUTION: The invention provides an isolated DNA containing a promoter of a β<SB>2</SB>-subunit of the nAChR composed essentially of a specific base sequence and a sequence hybridizing to the DNA under a stringent condition, a recombinant vector containing the DNA, a transformed organic material, a transgenic non-human mammal containing the transformed organic material introduced in the mammal, etc. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
