<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a situation that a gap varies between a plurality of developing units due to the deflection of a developing sleeve. <P>SOLUTION: The developing devices (Gy to Gk) are equipped with first developing units (Gy to Gc), each of which has first distance-holding mechanisms (13' and 16') for holding the distance between an image-holding body (PRy to PRc) and the surface of the first developing sleeve (7') whose surface is deformed in a developing area (Q2y to Q2c) to be predetermined distances (L1 and L2), and a second developing unit (Gk), which has second distance holding mechanisms (13 and 16) for holding a distance between an image holding body (PRk) and the surface of the second developing sleeve (7), whose surface is deformed in a developing area (Q2k) and whose surface deformed amount is smaller than that of the first developing sleeve (7') due to the rigidity to be the first distances (L1 and L2). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
