PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately calculate pressure in an intake pipe of an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: A pressure and temperature calculation device calculates at least one of pressure and temperature in the intake pipe of the internal combustion engine by a numerical calculation using a relational expression materialized based on mass conservation law among quantity of air flowing into an intake passage 13 in a downstream of a throttle valve 18 through the throttle valve 18, quantity of exhaust gas flowing into the intake passage in the downstream of the throttle valve through an exhaust gas flow control valve 22, and quantity of gas flowing into a cylinder 5 of the internal combustion engine from the intake passage in the downstream of the throttle valve, and a relational expression materialized based on energy conservation law among energy quantity of air flowing into the intake passage 13 in the downstream of a throttle valve through the throttle valve, energy quantity of exhaust gas flowing into the intake passage in the downstream of the throttle valve through the exhaust gas flow control valve, and energy quantity of gas flowing into the cylinder of the internal combustion engine from the intake passage in the downstream of the throttle valve.
