PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To not only remotely control an external receiver but also confirm the data broadcasting contents at hand while looking and listening a television broadcasting by the external receiver. SOLUTION: A portable telephone device 1 not only transmits the selector channel by infrared rays to the external receiver 2 but also displays and outputs the data broadcasting contents of the selector channel from a portable display section MD when left-right cursor keys K3 indicating a channel selection are operated under a remote control.
