PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design support device and a design support method which support design of a product to support generation of design data surely incorporating production technical requirements relating to production of the product. SOLUTION: The design support method supports design of the product executed by a design device for generating design data by executing design of the product through a plurality of design items and an examination device for examining whether design data generated by the design device meet the production technical requirements or not and includes a step of storing production technical requirements relating to a plurality of design items into a storage device in association with respective design items and a step of displaying production technical requirements corresponding to design items executed by the design device, out of production technical requirements stored in the storage device, on a display part of a terminal device connected to the examination device.
