PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time required to create elements for use in an analysis using a finite element method. SOLUTION: When a two-dimensional sectional shape is defined in a three-dimensional design apparatus, a two-dimensional section for analytical modeling is defined separately, divided into basic shape areas and further divided into elements in the areas. With a three-dimensional transformation operation such as extrusion on the three-dimensional design apparatus, the basic shape areas are simultaneously extruded three-dimensionally and divided into hexahedral and pentahedral elements. The integration of the synchronous analytical modeling volume division means into the three-dimensional design apparatus shortens the time required for analytical modeling.
